Blog #6 A Series Close to my Heart

Image
Hello everyone, welcome to another rant from yours truly. This time I want to talk about a game series That has been with me the entirety of my life, and is something I continually come back to over and over again. If you could not tell from the picture above I am talking about the world renown Mass Effect trilogy. The Mass Effect trilogy much like Assassins Creed is something I hold near and dear to my heart; The Mass Effect trilogy has been a huge staple in my life and has been my personal gate way into being the hero I want to be. It is not often we are faced with opportunities to be heroic, or to be the hero's of our own story, but Mass effect takes on an emotional roller coaster where you're faced with making difficult decisions.      Lets start from the beginning. Mass Effect takes place in humanities future in the year 2183. The first game follows a main character named Commander Shepard (You); You get to shape the backstory of Commander S...

Blog #5 Allstate Mayhem, lets dive deeper

reference material here . Hell everyone, this time around I want to talk about an Allstate commercial that exemplifies how subtlety can go a long way, and is specifically meant to resonate with its target audience. With that being said lets get started! Allstates commercial "Beauty Blogger | Allstate Mayhem" is a 23 second long ad that is a different take on advertising home insurance to people.  Firstly, as the ad starts you are presented with a bedroom filled with a variety of pink and purple blankets, sheets, and pillows. You can also see a jewelry box and some makeup on a desk, with the main focus point being on a gentleman with a black suit, white undershirt, and a dark grey tie using a sky blue curling iron on his hair. The first line presented is "I am a beauty blogger, and this mermaid hair how-to is gonna get me a ton of likes" symbolizing that the main character is fixated on their social media presence, and cares a large amount on others approval. Within...

Blog #4: You are Not Alone

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog from Blissful Ignorance. Today I want to talk about something personal to me, but more importantly how I deal with it. In the United States alone 7.1%, 23,394,500 people have experienced a case of depression. Depression is very common throughout our world today with society leading the charge as we are always overworking ourselves, and pushing our limits. There are a multitude of reasons people get depressed but most commonly people just get burnt out, tired of doing the same things over and over, tired of struggling to pay their bills, and tired of being tired. I am by no means an expert but I feel as though I can shed some light onto how devastating depression is on you mentally and physically.     To start I myself have been clinically diagnosed with severe depression, and I require medication to help keep myself from staying in bed all day. Life was extremely difficult for a time as I  had no motivation to do anything...

Blog #3: A Nostalgic after Dinner Treat

Hello everyone, I want to share an experience I had a few nights ago after having a nice dinner with my  family, so lets start from the beginning. My family and I have been going through a rough time in our lives as of late. I'll spare the details but lets just say that is has been very traumatic, depressing, and exhausting all around. So to take our minds off the problems of the present we all thought it would be a fun idea to cook a nice meal together. Nothing beats spending quality time with the ones you love.      Firstly,  We all agreed upon making a homemade chicken alfredo with fresh ingredients, homemade pasta, homemade sauce, and last but not least a little bit of love. As I do not wish to bore you lets just say that the dinner came out to be a success with all of us feeling extremely proud of what we had come up with. Dinner was delicious and really helped to ease our pains and grievances but the cherry on top of it all was a...
